UCH Report

“All of this stuff about household ministry sounds wonderful!

But what does it look like?”

It is not hard to make a biblical case for household ministry. The principles are clearly developed from Genesis to Revelation.

What is harder is helping people “see” it at a time when we are all so used to individualized, segregated ministry approaches. What do all these principles actually look like in practice?

The goal of the Uniting Church and Home Reports (DVD-R) is to show how churches across the nation are implementing a household approach to ministry that has as its ultimate goal more effective accomplishment of the Great Commission.

What does it look like to reconnect singles, families, youth, children, seniors; in essence all of the individual pieces of the church back into loving, meaningful unifying relationships that reach in and reach out?

Since there is no exact formula, every church personality will be a little different in how it implements these principles. Thus, the story of each church is refreshingly and creatively unique.

These interviews of church leaders, households, and those ministered to will inspire the viewer in their own application of these principles at their own church.

Volume 1, Uniting Church and Home Report
What happens when a pastor gets the vision for accomplishing the Great Commission through the households in his church? How does this change the form and function of the elder to be more biblical? How does it free him to minister? How does this change the focus of ministry relationships? Hear the exciting testimonies of one pastor, an elder and a father as they describe their church’s journey into household ministry. DVD-R, 45 minutes

Volume 2,Uniting Church and Home Report
How does household ministry meet the needs of single women? In this volume, you will hear how one church has ministered to four single women (ages 22 to 69) through their households. One single woman sums it up this way, “what singles need is not a group, but to be part of a community”. Instead of a pattern of destruction, this church is seeing a pattern of redemption and restoration in the lives of these single women. DVD-R, 27 minutes
